What should I do when friends family dies?

Ok my neighbors great great grandpa died. We are very close with the entire family. While we didn't know this man personally we know his daughters,granddaughters,great granddaughters and great great grand kids. I really don't have the money to send flowers but I would like to do something nice and thoughtful for them. I am going to babysit a three year old during the funeral and I offered to cook meals and told them to let me know if they need anything. Any one have any suggestions?
