What do you think of this "friend"?

Perhaps he's jealous - it doesn't sound like he has much? Perhaps his family can't afford a computer? I wouldn't stop being friends with him just because he called you a nerd but why don't you offer for him to use your pc or go to Barnes & Noble or even the library with you?
