The fact is that religion is now a source of violence?

As it was in the past, examples: Palestinians vs. Jews, Orthodox Serbians vs. Catholic Croatians, Irish Protestants vs. Catholics, Sri lanka Sinhalese Buddhists against Hindus Tamil.... What is your opinion?
